Smiles… they fascinate me and they always have.
Growing up with a father for a dentist, I was taught at a young age the nuances of a smile. While it may be true that your eyes are a window to your soul, it’s a smile that frames your face and contributes to self-esteem. That is why I love my job. I love to teach patients the path to a healthy smile, and give them the confidence they need.
My philosophy is to recommend the same care I would for myself, or my loved ones, and my primary goal is to cultivate long-term relationships with my patients.
I was born and raised in Novato and like to call it home. And like my father, I love to be part of the community I work in. I attended dental school at University of the Pacific in San Francisco.
In my spare time you will find me enjoying the beautiful outdoors that Marin has to offer. I love biking, trail running, swimming, hiking and paddle boarding all over the county. I am married and have two kids.

For me, dentistry is the perfect job. It combines my desire to build relationships with my patients, improving their smiles and oral health, and finding appropriate solutions to the wide range of patient’s needs.
I love practicing in the community that I grew up in, starting as an Associate at a local dentist’s office in 1999, and then joining Novato Family Dental Care in 2002.
I completed my undergrad work at UC Santa Barbara, and then graduated from University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1999. I taught at UOP part time as faculty in the Dental Anatomy course for 2 years from 1999-2001.
I live in Novato with my wife Karen and our three kids. As a family we enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, houseboating and skiing. I enjoy mountain biking in the Marin and Sonoma hills, and Dr. Perry and I have biked in Moab, UT and Whistler, CA several times.
I look forward to treating you and your family.
